This one is a bit of a failed story. It originally started as a writing prompt, but I blew right through the word limit and it all went a bit off-piste. Rather than bin it, given that it’s the Halloween season I thought I would finish it (1046 words).

I’m always looking for interesting writing prompts and came across the Tuesday Writing Prompt Challenge organised by the folks over at Go Dog Go Cafe. This week’s prompt must include the words “winded child“. Sounds like a challenge. Be sure to pop over and have a look at the other great entries and why not consider having a go yourself.
